ASAZ is proposing a movie night featuring Kirikou and Timbuktu movies. Timbuktu film looks at the occupation of city Timbuktu in Mali by the Islamic group. Parts of the film were influenced by a 2012 public stoning of an unmarried couple in Aguelhok. Kirikou and the Sorceress is the first film of the Kirikou trilogy. The movie was inspired by elements of West African folk tales, depicting how a newborn boy, Kirikou, saves his village from the evil witch Karaba.
